Youth and Global Issues

What we do here in Canada and how we live has a direct impact on people in other countries, just as actions or inactions taken in other places have a direct impact on our lives here in Canada. We all share the same planet, and we all need the same things to live to our fullest potential.

October 31 is National UNICEF Day!

Remember UNICEF’s orange trick-or-treat boxes? They helped make October 31 National UNICEF Day – and taught scores of Canadians that they can make a vital difference around the world. Today, it’s easier than ever to have an impact on the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children.

There are so many ways you can get involved this year: At school, in your community, or at work. We’ve provided you with all of the tips and tools you need to get started!

The funds you raise will help UNICEF save the lives of children around the world through innovative and simple solutions. Access to adequate food, clean water and safe shelter enables at-risk children to survive and thrive, while quality education helps break cycles of poverty and disease.
